The July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was named as one the year's hot teen celebrity stars. In 2004 Vega completed two films, Sleepover and State's Evidence. Following that she was a part of the Lifetime television series Odd Girl Out, as a victim of cyber-bullying. In 2006, she appeared in a different TV movie made for television, Walkout; and finished filming Remember the Daze, which was released in limited theaters in April 2007. Repo is her last film.
